Job description

Overview
This position is responsible for supporting the operation, setup, maintenance, and execution of audio and lighting systems
for animal presentations, stage shows, seasonal events, special productions, and other live entertainment offerings
throughout the park.
How You'll Make A Difference
  • Reports to the Entertainment Senior Supervisor and Tech Lead
  • Operating audio and lighting systems for live entertainment productions, animal presentations, special events, and seasonal offerings.
  • Mixing live audio for vocalists, presenters, musicians, performers, and animal show hosts.
  • Running playback systems, microphones, wireless audio equipment, and show-control elements.
  • Programming, operating, and troubleshooting lighting consoles and intelligent lighting fixtures.
  • Conducting pre-show system checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Assisting with setup, strike, focus, and maintenance of audio, lighting, and related production equipment.
  • Monitoring performances and making real-time adjustments to audio and lighting levels as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during rehearsals and live performances.
  • Maintaining inventory and organization of technical equipment, cables, tools, and supplies.
  • Supporting rehearsals, technical run-throughs, media events, and special productions.
  • Following all safety procedures and operating standards.
  • Assisting with seasonal events, including Tricks and Treats, Oktoberfest, Winterfest and other immersive entertainment experiences.
  • Collaborating with Entertainment Administrators, performers, animal presentation teams, and production staff to ensure successful
    show execution.
  • Operating professional audio and lighting equipment for multiple entertainment venues throughout the park.
  • Execute show cues accurately and consistently according to production requirements
  • Set up and strike speakers, microphones, lighting fixtures, control consoles, and related equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain entertainment technology systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Diagnose and repair minor technical issues and escalate larger repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and organized backstage, booth, and technical work environment.
  • Support new show installations, seasonal overlays, and venue upgrades.
  • Other duties as assigned

We're Looking For:
  • Constantly standing, talking, climbing, walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping,
    feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping,
    bending, kneeling.
  • Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature change.
  • Must be able to carry 5 to 10 pounds.
  • All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device.
  • Overtime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business need.
