Internal Audit Project Manager - Decatur or Chicago, IL
This is an exempt level position
Position Summary
The Project Manager supervises the performance of risk-based audits while also performing audits of ADM entities worldwide. This role manages and leads audit staff, reviews and documents audit procedures, evaluates risks, and partners with audit leadership to provide ADM Management and the Board of Directors with objective, accurate, and timely analysis, information, and recommendations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and execute risk-based audit engagements across ADM entities.
  • Lead and manage audit teams on multiple assignments.
  • Review, assess, and document audit work focused on key business risks and controls.
  • Train, coach, and develop less experienced audit professionals.
  • Prepare project evaluations and performance feedback for team members.
  • Ensure communication and documentation of procedural updates and guidance.
  • Partner with management to deliver timely audit reports and recommendations.
Required Skills
  • Understanding of the agriculture industry and/or commodity trading.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Leadership, team development, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Assistant Project Manager experience or 6-9 years of relevant audit experience.
Desired Experience
  • Advanced audit leadership experience and development of audit staff.
  • Experience within agriculture, commodity trading, or related industries.
  • Preferred: CIA, CISA, or CPA certification and progress toward a second certification or graduate degree.
