Job description

Mailroom Quality Control Operator

Onsite - Lexington, KY

Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - clean desk

$16.00 an hour during training, which may be below your states minimum wage.  Please take this into consideration when applying. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Mailroom Quality Control Operator. This is a hands-on, onsite role where your primary responsibility will be sorting incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately. You'll work in a structured, team-oriented environment with on-the-job training provided. Operators will be given a batch of 100 letters at a time to sort through, finding letters that do not meet the Post Office standard for an address. An example would be a missing street address and/or zip code. If they do not meet Post Office standards, the Operator will pull the letters and place them into the rejection bin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and organize mail by type and destination
  • Ensure mail adheres to shipping standards
  • Use basic PC functions to track and manage mail items
  • Navigate programs like Microsoft Teams and other internal tools

Requirements:

  • IMPORTANT: Must be comfortable adhering to a strict clean desk policy
  • Must be able to clear required criminal background check
  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Basic computer knowledge (PC navigation, using common software)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Comfortable working in an office or production/mailroom environment
  • Ability to follow detailed sorting procedures
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $26,600 - $33,250.
