Join our dedicated production team as a Nursery Technician and play a key part in caring for young piglets during a critical stage of their growth. In this rewarding role, you'll help ensure their health, comfort, and well-being-while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Overview:
Join our production team as a Nursery Technician and contribute to maintaining the health, comfort, and well-being of our animals. This role involves overseeing daily animal health checks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and keeping accurate records to support the efficient and humane operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily checks to monitor animal health, comfort, and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records for health, feed, and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to biosecurity and safety protocols for a secure working environment.
  • Assist with animal movement and barn maintenance, including pressure washing and feed/water quality control.
  • Follow all animal welfare policies to ensure humane treatment of animals.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in barn environments that may include dust, odors, and noise.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with some weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Commitment to animal welfare and meeting industry standards.

Work Environment: Exposure to loud noises, outdoor and barn conditions, and various temperatures. Physical activities include frequent movement around the production area, use of animal handling equipment, and occasionally climbing ladders.
Why You'll Love It Here:
  • Hands-on experience with animals-help piglets thrive and grow!
  • Team-focused atmosphere where your contributions are valued and supported.
  • Feel-good work-leave each day knowing you've helped improve the lives of animals.
  • Opportunities for growth in a stable, animal-focused agricultural career.

Work Environment:
You'll spend your time in dynamic, barn-based settings where every day is different. Be prepared for a variety of conditions-some noise, odors, and the need to roll up your sleeves for active, rewarding work. If you love animals and don't mind getting a little dirty to care for them, this is the place for you!
