About Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic

At Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic, we’re proud to serve the Fox Cities community with compassion, teamwork, and advanced veterinary care. As we expand our services with the launch of our Urgent Care Clinic, we’re seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our evening Urgent Care team.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, client-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside an experienced DVM and a dedicated team that values efficiency, communication, and empathy.

Schedule & Hours

Urgent Care Clinic Hours:
• Sunday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Monday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM –9:00 PM
Flexible scheduling available: full-time (hybrid General Practice + Urgent Care) or part-time (Urgent Care only). No overnights. No surgeries or dentals.

Compensation & Benefits

$22–$27/hour, depending on experience and certification.

What You’ll Do

• Triage walk-in and scheduled urgent care cases; obtain clear and concise patient histories
• Perform patient nursing care including IV/IO catheter placement, venipuncture, fluid therapy, analgesia, wound/abscess care, and bandaging
• Conduct in-house diagnostics (cytology, urinalysis, fecals, digital radiographs)
• Administer, monitor, and record medications and treatments accurately
• Support clients with compassionate communication and thorough discharge instructions
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and infection control in exam and treatment areas
• Assist with patient flow, payments, and discharges to maintain efficiency

Who You Are

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Wisconsin, or eligible for certification
• Experienced in patient triage, lab work, and radiography
• Skilled communicator who thrives under pressure and works well in a smaller, fast-paced team
• Confident, detail-oriented, and dedicated to patient comfort and client trust
• Passionate about helping animals and supporting a strong team dynamic
