At BioLegacy, we foster a collaborative, science-driven environment where employees are empowered to learn, grow, and contribute to cutting-edge research.

Job Overview

BioLegacy Research is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In Vivo Research Technician to support preclinical animal studies. This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on working directly with laboratory animals.

This position is ideal for candidates looking to gain foundational experience in in vivo research. The Technician will support study teams by assisting with animal care, study preparation, and basic procedures under close supervision.

This is not a bench-based or in vitro-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with handling and restraint of laboratory animals

Support daily monitoring of animal health, behavior, and well-being

Assist with preparation of study materials, supplies, and procedure areas

Support dosing activities by preparing materials and assisting senior staff

Assist with basic sample collection (e.g., blood, tissues) under supervision

Help maintain clean and organized procedure and animal areas

Record observations and study-related activities accurately and in a timely manner

Follow all SOPs, GLP guidelines, and animal welfare (IACUC) requirements

Support necropsy and tissue collection activities as needed

Work closely with team members and follow direction from supervisors

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, or related field preferred

Required:

Strong interest in in vivo animal research

Willingness to work hands-on with laboratory animals (rodents)

Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn new techniques

Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Reliable, team-oriented, and strong work ethic

Preferred (but not required):

Any exposure to animal handling or laboratory environments (academic, internship, or work experience)

Basic understanding of research or preclinical studies

This role is NOT a fit for candidates seeking primarily:

Cell culture or in vitro laboratory work

Bench-based molecular biology roles without animal work

Why BioLegacy Research?
