Job description

Description Responsible for daily operations of the Animal Adoption Center. Facilitates adoptions by actively reaching out to the public. Counsels potential adopters in selecting a pet that fits their lifestyle, discussing the responsibilities of pet ownership, showing animals to prospective adopters during shelter hours, giving information about specific animals, answering questions, and explaining the adoption process to shelter visitors.

Processes online and in person adoption applications. Reviews, selects, and contacts new applicants for potential adoption. Minimum Education and Experience Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

Prefer two (2) years related animal care experience or training. Prefer experience in public animal services facility. Associates Degree in Animal Care and Management Technology preferred but not required.

Requires Microsoft Office proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
