Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior UI/Frontend Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership and strengthen our frontend architecture. This role is focused on advanced UI system design, scalability, and maintainability, particularly as user interfaces become more coupled with identity and external platforms. The ideal candidate is a true UI architect-level engineer who can guide teams, understands modern frontend systems, and has experience with identity-aware application design.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and influence frontend architecture decisions across multiple UI applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to React developers, elevating team maturity in architecture and frontend governance.
  • Ensure UI solutions are scalable, maintainable, and standardized across teams.
  • Guide integration patterns between the UI and backend services within an IAM ecosystem.
  • Design and influence UI flows that interact with identity-related services, such as profile updates and user data reconciliation.
  • Act as a technical guide and force multiplier, providing direction on how UI systems should be built.
  • Architect and maintain the micro frontend shell application that orchestrates multiple independent applications.
  • Define module federation strategies and optimize build processes for performance.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • 7+ years of professional frontend development experience.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role.
  • Senior-level experience in modern frontend development with strong architectural thinking.
  • Proven experience with micro frontend architecture and enterprise-scale applications.
  • Experience in identity-aware or IAM-adjacent UI development is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in environments with strong security review expectations.

Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in React (v18+), including hooks, state management (e.g., Contexts), and component architecture.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for type-safe development.
  • Experience with modern build tooling such as Vite, including configuration and optimization.
  • Knowledge of module federation and micro frontend patterns.
  • Strong understanding of secure authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth, JWT).
  • Ability to evaluate secure API consumption patterns in enterprise IAM environments.
  • Experience with API integration at scale using tools like Axios.
  • Familiarity with component libraries like Material-UI (MUI), SASS/SCSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with unit testing using Vitest or Jest.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or integrating UI for identity platforms or IAM-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Background in healthcare or other regulated industries.
