Job description

Position Overview

MAK Anesthesia is seeking a Pediatric Fellowship-Trained Anesthesiologist to serve as Outpatient Medical Director across several Wellstar outpatient and health park locations. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with operational oversight, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a dynamic multi-site practice.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated anesthesiologist with 3–5 years of experience who is passionate about pediatric care, ambulatory anesthesia, and physician leadership.


Practice Locations

You will oversee anesthesia services at the following Wellstar facilities:

  • Acworth Health Park
  • Barrett Parkway – Pediatrics
  • Cherokee Health Park
  • East Cobb Health Park
  • Windy Hill Hospital

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for outpatient anesthesia services across assigned sites
  • Ensure high standards of patient safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with surgeons, hospital administration, and clinical teams to optimize workflows
  • Support, mentor, and engage anesthesia providers across locations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, compliance, and performance tracking
  • Assist with staffing models, scheduling, and operational planning

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship Training required
  • 3–5 years of post-training clinical experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in ambulatory/outpatient anesthesia settings strongly preferred
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia
