Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Cath Lab / EP position specializing in pediatric congenital and electrophysiology procedures.

Details
  • Pediatric cath lab setting within a Level II pediatric trauma center with 82 total beds and 1 combined Cath/EP Lab
  • Patient population is exclusively pediatric, with cases including congenital diagnostic and interventional procedures (LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, congenital structure stenting/ballooning, collateral closure) and EP procedures (pacemaker implants and generator exchanges, loop recorder implant/removals, EP studies with radiofrequency ablations for SVT, WPW, atrial tach, and PVC)
  • Sedation needs are provided by Anesthesia; tech role focuses on circulating and patient monitoring
  • Equipment includes Siemens Artis C-arm, Picom PACS, and Merge hemodynamic monitoring system
  • EMR is Epic Cupid; experience preferred
  • 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM
  • No floating required
  • Call rotation consists of 7 call shifts per 3-week rotation, including weekends; weekday call runs end of shift to 7:00 AM the following day; weekend call runs end of shift Friday through 7:00 AM Monday
  • Weekend coverage is via call only, approximately 1โ€“2 weekends per month (roughly every 3rd week)
  • Holiday coverage is on-call only, included in the standard department call rotation
  • 45-minute response time required for call; no sleep room available
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular technologist experience; prior pediatric cath lab experience preferred
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • RCIS and/or ARRT certification required
  • Current Washington State Rad Tech and/or CISC license required; license required if applicable
  • Experience as a circulator and patient monitoring in congenital and EP cath lab cases
  • Familiarity with Siemens Artis C-arm, Picom PACS, and Merge hemodynamic monitoring preferred
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) required; one reference accepted for initial consideration with a second required prior to start
Additional Information
  • Perform and assist with pediatric congenital interventional procedures and electrophysiology studies including ablations and device implants
  • Scrubs and lead aprons are provided by the facility; extended sizing is available for scrubs but not for lead aprons
