Job Summary
The corporate IT Trainer plays a vital role in empowering our workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively utilize application solutions. You will design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs across a range of IT applications and will be mentoring our Key User Organization. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, instructional design skills, and the ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand learning experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the IT department, business stakeholders, and our global IT organization at our parent company DEUTZ AG to identify training needs based on new technology implementations, user skill gaps, and changing business requirements.
  • Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and observations.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs with clear learning objectives, engaging content, and diverse delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning).
  • Create high-quality training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online modules.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions that cater to different learning styles and levels of experience.
  • Utilize various instructional techniques, such as demonstrations, hands-on exercises, case studies, and group discussions.
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide ongoing support to trainees after sessions through Q&A forums, knowledge base access, and individual consultations (as needed).
  • Develop and implement assessments to evaluate trainee comprehension and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Analyze training data to identify areas for improvement and adjust program content and delivery methods.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest software versions and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging major business applications, and tools used within the company.
  • Stay abreast of new instructional design methodologies and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Research and propose innovative training solutions to address evolving business needs.
  • As our IT Trainer you will also be the informal Head of the corporate Key User Organization responsible for establishing this organization and mentoring application and process experts in the business departments
  • Collaborate effectively with IT specialists and Key Users to ensure the technical accuracy of training materials.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to maintain a cohesive training program structure.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with trainees from diverse backgrounds and technical skill levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent subject matter expertise in core IT applications and technologies relevant to the company.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 25-50% depending on business needs.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in corporate training
  • Working experience in major business applications

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, education, or related field

Physical Requirements
  • This role will require daily concentration, sitting, standing, hearing/speaking, as well as written and verbal communication.
  • This role will occasionally require lifting of up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • This role works in the office/training area, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Some visits in manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment necessary. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
