Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Wichita, Kansas.

Travel RN – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)🚨 CRITICAL On-Call & Housing Notice
  • On-Call Requirement: On-call is strictly required for this contract.
  • Response Time: Candidates must have a 30-minute response time when on call. Please advise your candidate to secure housing within a 30-minute radius of the facility.

  • Location: Wichita, KS (Wesley Medical Center)
  • Shift: 12-hour Mid-Days (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM / 9A–9P)
  • Positions Open: 2 positions available
  • Charting System: Meditech
Facility & Unit Overview
  • Facility Scale: Wesley Medical Center is a major 760+ bed Level I Trauma Center and regional tertiary hospital.
  • Unit Capacity: 30-bed PACU / Recovery Room.
  • Patient Ratios: Standard ASPAN ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient phase and acuity.
  • Staffing Structure: Day shift is staffed with 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Charge Nurse and 12 floor RNs.
  • Case Mix: Recovers a wide range of surgical patients, including high-acuity Craniotomies and complex Orthopedic procedures.
Requirements & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience required.
  • License: Active Kansas (KS) or multi-state Compact RN license required.
  • Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS are strictly required.
  • Personality Fit: Looking for adaptable team players who manage stress well with a strong focus on patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with the Meditech EMR system.
  • Schedule flexibility with shifts/hours.
