. This contract-based, on-site position offers you the chance to deliver high-quality anesthesiology care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in patient care, working closely with surgical teams to ensure the highest standards of anesthesia management are met. You'll be part of a supportive team that values your expertise and dedication, all while contributing to the overall health outcomes of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Evaluate patient medical histories and determine appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical experience
  • Assess and manage post-operative patient pain relief
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
  • Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technology
  • Adhere to all safety and medical regulations within the practice
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active medical license in the state of Virginia
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in anesthesiology
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency management

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a

Case Mix: General, obstetrics, neuro, complex vascular, ortho
