Job description

Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Anesthesiologist opportunity with nationally recognized Cumberland Valley Surgery Center in Hagerstown, MD. Description: Cumberland Valley Surgery Center is the longest active multispecialty, same day surgery center in the Hagerstown area! The facility has 1 operating room with general anesthesia capabilities, 2 treatment rooms with local/monitored anesthesia care capabilities, 1 preoperative area and 1 post anesthesia care area.

CVSC specializes in pain management, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, dental/oral surgery, gynecology, plastic & reconstructive surgery, podiatry, and endoscopy.

Location leadership: Marwan Wiggins, MD, Chief Anesthesiologist

Location facts:

Schedule includes: Monday-Friday (8 hour shifts)

PRN providers must be able to work 1 day per week or a minimum of 6 shifts per month

Responsibilities:

Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the anesthesia department

Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures

Pre-anesthesia assessment

Obtains and/or verifies patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient

Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia

Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition

Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements:

M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine

Completion of approved residency in anesthesia

Currently licensed as a physician

Total rewards:

W2 hourly rate: $350 hr.

1099 hourly rate: $350 hr. (must provide own medical malpractice)
