Job description

Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

Our professional, attentive Anesthesiology team provides general anesthesia and pain management services for hospital patients and those who have outpatient surgeries at our facilities. The latest developments in anesthetic techniques provide our anesthesia care professionals with a variety of options to care for patients while ensuring their maximum safety and comfort.

As the Anesthesia Technologist, you will provide professional and compassionate anesthetic services to patients at Straub by performing anesthesia assistant duties. These include patient care, requisitioning supplies, equipment and drugs, maintaining equipment, researching cost savings, preparing anesthesia equipment and drugs for daily use, and cleaning and restocking anesthetizing locations. You will help the Perioperative team with room turnovers and assist with the review and correction of patient anesthesia related charges as needed. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational and patient care skills, the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.
