CCOMS FULL-TIME SURGICAL TECHNICIAN
HOURS/LOCATIONS
Monday โ Friday, approximately 8:00am โ 5:00pm with a 60 minute lunch period. Clinical team members work at both locations. Our schedule is completed 3-4 weeks in advance and locations are directed at that time.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED. Requires knowledge of modern office practices, principles of modern record keeping, setup and maintaining filing systems and of legal phrases and terminology. Requires skill in operating a personal computer, word processing software and in oral communications.
TASKS
The Oral Surgery Surgical Technician position is comprised of three main descriptions; Surgical Assistant, Anesthesia Assistant, & Sterilization Assistant. Duties include, but are not limited to:
AM Duties:
- Surgical Assistant:
- During surgery: Assist the doctor (suctioning, cutting sutures, irrigating, etc.), aid in observing and maintaining patient vitals, and keep a clean and organized surgical field.
- Between surgeries: Break down prior surgery set up and prepare for the next surgery, educate patient and/or patient ride on post-operative instructions and discharge patients, help with tasks in other surgeries, and assist with sterilization of instruments.
- After surgeries: Break down, clean, and stock operatories.
- Anesthesia Assistant: Assist the doctor in monitoring patient vital signs, maintaining the patientโs airway and logging medications given.
- Sterilization Assistant: Cleaning, processing, and sterilizing instruments while helping with tasks in surgeries, discharging patients, and prepping rooms for the next surgery.
PM Duties:
- Taking x-rays, charting appointment findings, reviewing medical history, taking basic vital signs, coordinating patient treatment plans with front office and treatment coordination teams
- Completion of huddles, stocking, cleaning, post-op calls, closing duties, etc.
