By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril Cyber is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of capabilities to enable offensive cyber missions. Cyber is a new business line at Anduril, and relies upon our fleet of autonomous vehicles, Lattice operating system, mesh networks, and other hardware products to engage in cyber operations at the edge. We design and build novel solutions to deploy cyber capabilities in unconventional or difficult to reach environments Anduril Cyber is hiring a Software Engineer focused on embedded and mission software integration. Strong candidates may lean more heavily toward embedded-platform or mission/backend work, but should be comfortable collaborating across adjacent layers that connect devices, operators, and data products.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Software Engineering team builds, deploys, integrates, extends, and scales Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to our customers. As the software engineers closest to Anduril customers and end- users, Software Engineers solve technical challenges of operational scenarios while owning the end-to-end delivery of winning capabilities such as Counter Intrusion, Joint All Domain Command & Control, and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

As a Software Engineer, you will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. Your efforts will ensure that Anduril products seamlessly work together to achieve a variety of critical outcomes. Above all, Software Engineers are driven by a "Whatever It Takes" mindset-executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way while keeping the mission top-of-mind and making sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes correctly, on-time, and with high quality. Not only will you build the software, you'll have the opportunity to work with the customer's to deploy it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers from inception to deployment.
  • Build and evolve software across device control, telemetry, storage, APIs, tasking workflows, and operator-facing integrations, with scope weighted toward either embedded-platform or mission/backend ownership based on candidate strengths.
  • Own low-level Linux-facing work such as board bring-up, boot sequencing, device-tree or driver-adjacent integration, and hardware/software debug when needed.
  • Develop backend services and software interfaces that connect edge systems, data products, and mission workflows cleanly and reliably.
  • Incorporate AI/LLM-enabled workflow features where they improve analyst or operator effectiveness without compromising system reliability.
  • Work across software, FPGA, DSP, test, and systems engineering to define interfaces, resolve integration issues, and improve overall product quality.
  • Contribute to technical leadership, design clarity, and long-term maintainability across a growing software stack.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong software engineering experience in one or more of C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, or modern TypeScript/React application development.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems, including board bring-up, bootloaders, device trees, drivers, or similarly low-level platform work.
  • Experience building APIs, backend services, or data‑handling software that integrates cleanly with hardware‑adjacent systems.
  • Ability to debug across the full stack, including logs, networking, interfaces, configuration, and hardware/software boundaries.
  • Experience designing maintainable software architectures rather than only implementing isolated features.
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and translating ambiguous requirements into clean software interfaces.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Currently possess and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background integrating software with FPGA/SoC or other specialized hardware platforms.
  • Experience with object storage, artifact pipelines, telemetry systems, or mission‑oriented workflow tooling.
  • Familiarity with modernizing legacy software stacks while preserv
