Job description

Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with theGallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it's KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Crème de la Crème, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it-in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.
At KinderCare Learning Companies, you'll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we're all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.
KinderCare is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of mobile experiences that support both KinderCare families and center employees. The mobile app plays an important role in how families engage with their child's center and how teachers and center directors manage day-to-day operations, creating a unique opportunity to deliver intuitive family experiences alongside efficient, reliable employee workflows.
In this role, you will translate family, employee, and business needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap, partnering with Product Design, Engineering, Operations, Customer Experience, and other teams to discover opportunities, deliver new capabilities, and measure results. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience owning and evolving mobile products and building intuitive, scalable experiences for multiple user groups.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the mobile product strategy and roadmap, balancing family and employee needs, business and operational priorities, technology opportunities, and long-term product investments

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, translating user and business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Lead product discovery using research, product analytics, usability insights, feedback, and direct engagement to identify and validate opportunities across family journeys and center workflows

  • Partner with Product Design and Engineering throughout discovery, solution design, development, testing, launch, and iteration

  • Define product outcomes and success measures, using qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate adoption, engagement, workflow effectiveness, friction points, and overall product performance

  • Make informed product tradeoffs across user experience, operational needs, business value, technical feasibility, speed, and long-term scalability

  • Collaborate across Operations, Customer Experience, Technology, and other teams to ensure mobile experiences work effectively within broader family and center journeys and account for enterprise systems, integrations, data, and operational dependencies

  • Account for privacy, security, accessibility, reliability, and performance when defining and prioritizing mobile capabilities

  • Lead launch and adoption planning for new capabilities, tailoring approaches to the different needs of families and center employees

  • Assess and prioritize production issues and defects based on customer and operational impact while balancing immediate needs with roadmap priorities

  • Apply emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve product discovery, decision-making, delivery efficiency, and business outcomes, and share effective practices across the Product Management team

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management or related fields, including demonstrated ownership of mobile products across strategy, discovery, delivery, launch, measurement, and iteration

  • Experience designing products for multiple user groups and complex end-to-end journeys, ideally spanning both customer-facing and employee or operational experiences

  • Strong understanding of mobile product and UX best practices and the expectations of modern iOS and Android users

  • Ability to translate user problems and business objectives into product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and prioritized backlogs

  • Experience partnering with Product Design and software engineering teams to develop and deliver digital products

  • Strong product discovery and analytical skills, including experience using user research, usability testing, feedback, behavioral data, product analytics, and KPIs to guide decisions and evaluate outcomes

  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, user populations, dependencies, and competing priorities while maintaining strong product judgment and attention to delivery details

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate product strategy, decisions, and tradeoffs to technical, operational, and executive audiences

  • Experience working with Agile product development teams
