Senior Android Developer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Role Overview
Our organization is seeking a Senior Android Developer to design, develop, and prototype Android mobile applications for both internal and external use. This role involves expertise in Android native test automation solutions using Kotlin and hands-on creation of automation scripts for mobile applications. You will participate in the full application life-cycle, from developing automation scripts to testing and releasing to the app store, while collaborating with product teams on new ideas and designs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build native mobile applications on the Android platform.
  • Develop automation scripts, test applications, and manage releases to the app store.
  • Collaborate with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimations.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of applications meet specifications.
  • Identify and resolve application bottlenecks and fix bugs before final release.
  • Maintain code and the atomization of the application.
  • Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
  • Stay current with upcoming features in relevant products and platforms.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering is required.
Experience: This role typically requires 5-7 years of experience, including over 5 years of development on the Android Platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Kotlin, Objective-C, and Core Java.
  • Experience with web services, REST services, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
  • Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of C-based libraries.
  • Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, and the use of Camera APIs.
  • Extensive knowledge of XCode.

  • Experience with continuous integration and unit tests.
