Job description

Quality Engineer (Mobile Test Automation)
About the role
Perform is hiring a Quality Engineer on behalf a food industry company to build out test automation for their internal commerce applications. You'll own mobile test automation end-to-end on Android using Appium, with the opportunity to grow into broader quality platform work as the team's testing infrastructure matures.
What you'll do
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for Android using Appium
  • Write and execute test automation covering internal commerce app flows (ordering, payments, account, and related transactional paths)
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively catch defects before they reach production
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Over time, contribute to quality platform initiatives — shared tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure that scale testing across teams rather than just within one app
What you need
  • Hands-on production experience with Appium for mobile test automation
  • Strong Android testing experience (real device and emulator-based)
  • Experience building and maintaining test automation for commerce/transactional applications
  • Solid programming fundamentals (Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar, depending on your Appium stack)
  • Comfort working in a CI/CD-integrated test environment
Nice to have
  • Experience contributing to or building shared quality/testing platforms or frameworks (not just app-level test suites)
  • iOS test automation experience alongside Android
  • Familiarity with commerce-specific testing concerns (payments, inventory, order flows)

Your partner for AI, consulting, software development, and nearshore staffing.
