Job description

The Digital Product Manager oversees the development, launch, and support of Guest Technology digital products as well as the relationship with external and internal teams throughout booked, onboard, and post cruise guest journey. This role encompasses the entire end-to-end Product Management lifecycle including developing new capabilities, serving as the Product Owner, and collaborating with business stakeholders, Shipboard Staff, guests, engineering, QA, IT, network and other technology teams. The Digital Product Manager leads idea generation, evaluation, product definition, UX/UI design, roadmap prioritization, engineering & development, ship rollout, measurement, and analytics. This role balances both strategy and execution, offering the opportunity to interact with all functions, manage the development of diverse products, and deliver significant, positive results for the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch. Prioritizes features, sets clear requirements, manages the product backlog, actively participates in Scrum ceremonies, and ensures timely delivery of high-quality products.

  • Develops and communicates a clear product strategy and vision. Creates and maintains a product roadmap that aligns with company goals and consumer needs.

  • Partners with cross-functional team and stakeholders - including engineering, design, CRM, content, and revenue management - throughout the end-to-end process to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

  • Works closely with our UX/UI design team to develop an intuitive and engaging user experience. Conducts usability testing and gathers user feedback to make data-driven decisions for product enhancements that achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Establishes and monitors key business metrics to measure success. Analyzes data to identify product improvement areas. Gathers feedback from consumers, stakeholders, and developers to understand customer pain points, business needs, and the competitive landscape.

  • Prepares and presents regular business updates to stakeholders in-person and in-writing. Creates business reports, training/troubleshooting guides, and related product documentation and presentations.

  • Promotes continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes, tools, and methodologies. Implements best practices and drives innovation within the product management team. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Scope: This role is part of a lean team that will set the strategy and priorities for Guest Technology including Carnival HUB App. The role will partner with stakeholders to secure input and ideas from across the organization, and then synthesize those requests into a strategic roadmap that helps deliver our business targets. The role will also have responsibility for working directly with their respective Scrum Team to ensure complete and on-time delivery of their projects.

  • Problem Solving: This role requires significant problem-solving skills across product, design, technology, and operational areas. Challenges may include improving guest experiences across pre-cruise and onboard journeys, addressing business and operational pain points, resolving development bottlenecks, driving UX innovation, increasing self-service adoption, and balancing competing roadmap priorities to deliver the greatest guest and business impact.

  • Impact: The work led by this role in this space supports the entire guest journey-from trip planning and pre-cruise purchases to onboard engagement and service delivery. Beyond revenue growth, these experiences help guests prepare for their vacation, increase self-service adoption, reduce operational friction, improve crew efficiency, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.

  • Leadership: The DPM in this role will lead a Scrum Team responsible for delivering strategic initiatives across the pre-cruise and onboard guest journey. These initiatives will drive revenue growth, improve guest satisfaction, increase self-service adoption, and enhance operational productivity for both shoreside and shipboard teams. The DPM will manage resource allocation, own prioritization decisions, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, balance competing demands, and clearly communicate roadmap sequencing and business impact.

Essential/Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Ownership in an agile environment; a demonstrated history of leading and delivering successful digital products across apps and web

Essential experience required

  • Skilled with Figma, project management software (preferably Azure DevOps), and Google Analytics; proficient in BI, Sitecore, and ContentSquare; Experience launching and maintaining successful iOS/Android apps.Proficiency with mobile analytics and CI/CD tools. Understanding of mobile accessibility and data privacy regulations.

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

This position is classified as "in-office."  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
