Role Summary
As we develop a fully integrated experience in our R1 and future vehicle lines, we are looking for a Software Engineer 3D Intern to support our world-class software engineering team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to in-vehicle applications, such as real-time 3D rendering, and gain hands-on experience with the next generation of self-driving visualizations, driver aids, and other 3D eye candy. About the Technical Art, 3D Internship: We are looking for talented interns to join various teams within our 3D Organization.
Program Details:

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and testing best-in-class real-time 3D visualizations.
  • Support the creation of progressive, intuitive, and reliable applications for our in-vehicle experience.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI and Studio Teams to help realize beautiful, cutting-edge 3D experiences.
  • Help test the in-vehicle experience in the lab and in prototype vehicles.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues found during testing.
  • Contribute to research into new technologies and interfaces that will shape the future of mobility.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with modern object-oriented languages such as C++, Java, or Kotlin. Python is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A strong interest in 3D real-time graphics. Experience with major game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine) is a plus.
  • Interest in Android application frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D models, digital materials, and lighting is a plus.
  • A portfolio or personal projects demonstrating your passion for 3D graphics or programming is highly desirable.
  • A strong desire to learn, a collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills.
