Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Telemetry Processing and Apps (TPA) development team supporting the Payload Operations Integration Center (POIC), International Space Station (ISS), and Space Launch System (SLS) mission ground systems hosted at the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC). The TPA team develops and supports ground systems responsible for data processing, storage, retrieval, and user experiences across current and future human spaceflight missions, including Artemis, Human Landing System (HLS), Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility (EHP), and Lunar Habitat Base initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the modernization of mission-critical ground systems as they transition from Linux and Windows VMware environments to Kubernetes containers through a new HOSC OpenShift cluster and DevSecOps pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and enhancement of telemetry processing and application systems supporting ISS, SLS, and Artemis missions
  • Develop software using technologies such as Angular, ReactJS, C#, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages
  • Develop and maintain applications using .NET Core
  • Support software development within Windows, Linux, and web-based environments
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other modern high-performance databases
  • Develop and support large-scale distributed systems with high availability and concurrent operation requirements
  • Apply strong network programming skills to support mission ground system applications
  • Develop and execute unit and automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Support agile software development practices and containerized application environments
  • Contribute to the modernization and migration of existing applications to Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
  • Utilize GitLab and associated development and DevSecOps practices
  • Capture, develop, and present technical information to support software development and program objectives
  • Collaborate with the TPA development team and other stakeholders to address usability, performance, and operational requirements
Qualifications
  • Experience in programming languages like Angular, ReactJS, C#, and JavaScript
  • Experience with other relevant programming languages, especially functional ones
  • Experience with .NET Core
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and especially web-based development environments
  • Understanding of relational databases like Oracle, Microsoft SQL server, or similar modern high-performance databases, including open-source ones
