Job Summary:


We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin and modern Android technologies to design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance mobile applications used by millions of customers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise mobile development, software architecture, API integrations, and driving engineering best practices within Agile environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
  • Build and enhance customer experiences including marketplace, offers, checkout, payments, loyalty programs, subscriptions, and order tracking.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, UX Designers, QA teams, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive Android architecture, reusable components, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, startup time, memory utilization, and overall user experience.
  • Implement automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior developers.
  • Support production releases, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Stay current with emerging Android technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional Android development experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Android Architecture Components, Coroutines, and Flow.
  • Proven experience building large-scale consumer-facing Android applications supporting millions of users.
  • Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, and modular application design.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, authentication platforms, and payment systems.
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile application security, performance optimization, observability, and monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The base salary for this position is $115,000 - $125,000, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
