Job Description
Cintas is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Level 2 for the Mobility team in IT. The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise android applications developed using various frameworks (Kotlin, Java, Kotlin Multiplatform). This role involves collaborating with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Participate in planning and estimation activities with Business Analysts and cross-functional team members.
• Translate business requirements into well-designed Android technical solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategy.
• Analyze existing Android/mobile applications to identify performance, scalability, maintainability, or usability gaps.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android enterprise applications or modules
• Follow approved development processes, coding standards, and documentation practices
• Produce application specifications and clearly document technical system requirements
• Work across multiple technical environments (mobile, APIs, backend integrations) with increasing independence.
• Take ownership of application quality end-to-end
• Conduct unit testing to validate functionality against specifications
• Diagnose and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Informational Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming using Java, Kotlin, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Android application development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with IDEs like Android Studio, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Version Control tools like Git, Gitlab or Other.
• Must be proficient in One or more programming languages.
• Knowledge of programming concepts like collections.
• Good understanding of Web Technologies.
Preferred
• Basic knowledge on build tools or pipelines
• SAP BTP experience
• Android Library Integration experience
• Hybrid App Development using Compose Multiplatform/Flutter
