Job Summary

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a highly qualified Urologic Oncology Surgeon to join our distinguished faculty in the Division of Surgery. As a dedicated, cancer-focused practice, our team is committed exclusively to providing cutting-edge, comprehensive oncology care.

Based in Northeast Florida, Baptist MD Anderson brings an unprecedented level of specialized oncology care to the southeastern United States, offering physicians a compelling blend of patient-centered clinical care and the academic rigor of a world-renowned cancer network. Baptist Health is proud to be one of only six unique health systems in the United States chosen to replicate MD Anderson Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary and proven model of care, serving as the Southeast patient care hub for the MD Anderson Cancer Network.

Program Highlights

  • Dedicated Cancer Practice: Work within an exclusively cancer-focused environment that prioritizes specialized oncology care, clinical trials, and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.
  • Collaborative Multidisciplinary Team: Join an established team including three existing fellowship-trained urologic oncologists, a general urologist, and dedicated advanced practice providers.
  • State-of-the-Art Facility: Practice out of our dedicated 300,000-square-foot cancer center facility in Jacksonville.
  • Integrated Care Model: Comprehensive support combining pathology, radiology, medical and radiation oncology, surgery, psychology, navigation, rehabilitation, and survivorship programs.
  • Academic Appointment: Opportunity for an adjunct academic appointment (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Surgery) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Training: Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Fellowship: Completion of a fellowship sanctioned by the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) is strongly preferred. Candidates currently in fellowship are encouraged to apply.
  • Licensure & Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU); must possess or obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License and active DEA registration.
  • Clinical Focus & Scholarship: Demonstrated skills to establish and maintain an active cancer-focused clinical practice in urologic oncology with willingness to support general urology needs as required; strong commitment to multidisciplinary patient care and academic scholarship.
