Job Responsibilities

HandsOnFabric & Transformation Work

  • Serve as a technical bridge between analytics needs and warehouse implementation decisions, workingclosely with the Data Warehousing team to design and implementdata models in Microsoft Fabric

  • Contribute directly to data model development (SQL / Python), building andmaintainingFabric notebooks for transformations, enrichment, and business logic

  • Validate data outputs, logic correctness, and alignment with business rules before models are surfaced for reporting

  • Partner on refresh sequencing, dependencies, and data readiness for analytics consumption

Semantic Modeling & Power BI Enablement

  • Design andmaintainPower BI semantic models on top of curated Fabric tables, ensuring models follow best practices for:

  • Schema design

  • Reusability across reports

  • Clear metric definitions and transparency

  • Supportthe shift from reporting to insights, enabling enhanced andefficientself-service capabilities toend users

Stakeholder Translation & Collaboration

  • Act as an analytics partner to stakeholderssubmittingreporting and data requests, translatingbusiness questions intoactionable information

  • Facilitate working sessions between stakeholders and technical teams toalign ondefinitions, assumptions, and outputs

Process, Standards & Change Management

  • Follow and contribute toestablishedmodeling patterns, naming conventions, and governance standards

  • Use Git for version control, peer review, and controlled changes

  • Help test,validate, and document changes before they are released to production

  • Support continuous improvement of analytics processes, handoffs, and communication between teams

Requirements

  • 3-5+years experiencein analytics, BI, data engineering, or a related field

  • Stronghands onexperience with:

  • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, notebooks, pipelines)

  • Power BI (semantic models, datasets, basic DAX)

  • SQL (advanced querying, transformations, performance considerations)

  • Python for data transformation (ideallyPySpark)

  • Solid understanding of:

  • Dimensional modeling

  • Fact vs dimension design

  • Slowly changing dimensions

  • Governance-friendly model design

$103,300 - $140,700. The compensation range for Southern California, New York, Washington, and Illinois is $113,600 - $154,800. The compensation range for Northern California is $118,800 - $161,800. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.Eligible employeesat certain levels canparticipatein a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
