Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency at Northside Hospital Gwinnett acts as a central member of the residency leadership team. Working closely with the Program Director and Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration, this role manages the day-to-day operations, strategic goals, and regulatory compliance of the ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Accreditation & Compliance
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of ACGME Common Program Requirements to ensure the program remains in good standing.
  • Manage data entry, update reports, and facilitate uploads within the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS).
  • Coordinate meetings and record minutes for Faculty Development, Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC).
  1. Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Oversee the annual recruitment cycle using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
  • Coordinate interview days, candidate evaluations, and rank list logistics.
  • Coordinate Medical Student Rotations
  • Manage the onboarding process, including issuing contracts, orientation planning, and hospital credentialing for incoming residents.
  1. Program Operations & Resident Support
  • Maintain accurate records for residents, including duty hours tracking, procedure logs, and rotation schedules.
  • Coordinate the distribution and tracking of evaluations for residents, faculty, and rotations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among trainees, faculty, and clinical partners.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors' degree with demonstrated knowledge and experience in an academic medical education setting
2. Minimum two years' experience in providing oversight and coordination of programs related to healthcare and/or medical staff
3. Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with hospital and medical staff
4. Strong analytical and organization skills
5. Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines.
PREFERRED:
1. Previous experience working in GME.
2. Must have an interest in medical education and the desire to work in a health care setting.

8am-5pm
