Salary: $62,000-$68,000
Summary of Position
Responsible for an assigned residential housing unit including: direct supervision of staff; clinical requirements; administration; physical upkeep; program requirements and for other similar duties necessary to the functions of an assigned housing unit for residents in adherence with New England Village, external agencies, programs' and state and local policies, regulations and procedures.

Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate/monitor delivery of services to those supported to ensure conformity to funding agencies regulations, internal policies, procedures and quality standards, and applicable program model(s).
  • Conduct, participate in or receive needs assessments of those supported and ensure that needs and capabilities are incorporated into service plans; monitor services to ensure that objectives are being carried out; recommend changes as appropriate to proper personnel.
  • Ensure that clinical, programmatic and administrative records are accurate and up to date. Maintain required records, files and documents; prepare and/or participate in preparation of reports, budgets, accreditation reviews, and other events/materials as required. Maintain NEV systems for accounting for household and personal funds. Assist in screening and evaluating individuals referred for services. Keep administration appraised of client progress.
  • Plan and prepare staffing schedules to ensure proper staffing. Manage staffing resources in an effective and efficient manner. Approve all time off requests and payroll timecards for staff who work in the home. Inform supervisor of any changes from designated staffing schedule and obtain prior approval for staff overtime.
  • Responsible for providing daily supervision of staff; documenting scheduled periodic staff meetings; providing support to staff. Interview and make effective hiring recommendations to supervisor; coordinate and provide staff orientation training; ensuring that staff remains current with trainings and certifications; provide counsel and opportunity to staff regarding professional development; established performance expectations; monitor and provide feedback as to performance; participate in staff performance reviews and make effective recommendations as to personnel matters affecting staff to supervisor.
  • Provide an environment that supports the needs of individuals including: behavioral management, coordination of rehab plans, teaching plans, monitoring medical treatments, data collection systems, individual involvement in routine tasks and personal enrichment activities opportunities which maintain focus on overall wellness as well as maintaining a home like environment for active involvement of resident decision making and like situations.
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships with families/guardians of residents; monitor advocate interaction with families/guardians. Promote human rights and participate in ISP and other client specific meetings.
  • Responsible to ensure assigned residential home is adequately equipped with individuals' physician ordered medications, groceries, cleaning supplies, household suppled, and personal protective equipment. Manage the monthly expenses within the assigned budget and process a monthly expense report.
  • Responsible for providing primary on-call duties for the assigned residential home from Monday 9 AM to Friday at 5 PM, inclusive of off-duty hours.
  • Responsible to provide primary on-call duties on weekends for assigned cluster of homes from Friday 5 PM to Monday 9 AM on designated rotational weekends.
  • Responsible to complete regular safety checks of the assigned home and to submit timely requests for repair and maintenance when needed.
  • Perform other similar duties as responsibilities necessitate or as requested by supervisor.

Knowledge and Experience Required
  1. BA Degree in social sciences, human services, or related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Minimum of two years in program management, preferably in residential services, or equivalent
  3. MAP Certified

Skills and Abilities Required
  1. Performs diversified housing unit and programmatic duties requiring the use of a wide range of procedures and the use of judgment in the analysis of fact and circumstances surrounding individual problems and situations and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of accepted practices.
  2. Duties to ensure service plans' objectives are carried out; liaison with external sources; to manage internal or external support providers and similar duties require considerable judgment to work toward overall objectives, and to make related decisions controlled by precedent and within limits of established policies.
  3. Inside and outside contacts carrying out program and team policies or programs and influencing others where improper handling will have a marked effect on results. Involves dealing with supervisor on matters requiring explanation, discussion, persuasion and obtaining approvals.
  4. Work with confidential data such as individual case records which if disclosed inadvertently could have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
  5. Valid drivers license with a suitable driving history
