Position Summary

  • Through the Accounting Rotational Analyst program, you'll gain experience and exposure to accelerate your career, including technical accounting finance skills and banking industry knowledge, as well as professional skills such as meeting effectiveness, executive presence, and making presentations. You'll join our Accounting team for an 18-month placement, during which you'll work for six months within three core Accounting disciplines, such as: SEC/Regulatory Reporting, General Accounting, Internal Control Over Financial Reporting, and Accounting Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Learn and conduct Accounting Analyst responsibilities during three six-month placements within three core Accounting disciplines, such as: SEC Reporting (quarterly Earnings Releases and Form 10-Qs, annual Form 10-K), Regulatory Reporting (monthly Bank Call Reports, annual consolidated reporting), General Accounting (general ledger management, journal entry processing, accrual and prepaid calculation, business line accounting support), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (risk and control evaluation for processes which impact Wintrust financially), and Accounting Operations (reconciliations, payment processing).

  • Participate in other projects and/or activities impacting Accounting.

  • Participate in learning and development opportunities.

  • Upon successful completion of the program, you will be offered placement into a full-time position within Accounting. Placements are determined by matching your skills and areas of interest with our business requirements.

  • 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Bachelor's degree with an academic background in accounting.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
