Overview:

The Concrete Project Manager oversees teams delivering safe, high-quality concrete foundations and flatwork projects. This role is responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and overall project control.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and uphold the Company’s commitment to integrity and our core values, as well as ensuring the same for the entire team.
  • Fully understand scope of work and corresponding pricing (per drawings, proposal, contract documents).
  • Meet with foreman to transfer necessary project information (pre-construction meeting).
  • Request and submit required project documentation & notify other departments.
  • Collaborate with safety and project teams to complete visual job site safety inspections.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Project Engineers and Construction Teams to ensure satisfactory job progress through frequent phone calls, meetings, and job site visits.
  • Review weekly job progress, job costs, change order requests, look-ahead schedules, etc.
  • Maintain document control including but not limited to submittals, RFIs, drawings, specifications, addendums, bulletins, etc.
  • Manage change order process including identification, compilation, estimating, submission, and follow up; maintain Change Order Log.
  • Assist in preparation of progress invoices; prepare Over/Under Billing Statements.
  • Efficiently and expeditiously close out projects, provide as-builts & warranties, and review and analyze project profit/loss statement.


Experience and Education Required:

  • 5 years of concrete construction experience and familiarity with concrete applications and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Ability to handle correspondence with customers, vendors, and Project Team members in a professional manner.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • Proficiency with project document controls such as, Procore, Planswift, HCSS Plans & Heavy Job.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional work.
  • Ability to carefully follow written and verbal directions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
