As a Leadership Rotation Network (LRN) Analyst Intern, you will work directly within a dedicated middle or back-office team, such as Global Trading Operations, Treasury, Product Control, Credit Risk, Project Management, Business Management, or Finance. Over the course of your 10-week internship, you will contribute meaningfully to your team's objectives and gain in-depth knowledge in your specific area of placement.

  • Apply your acquired knowledge and skills to deliver tangible value in your assigned team
  • Lead projects and participate in daily processes, gaining insight into your team's scope and their collective role in supporting our trading business
  • Analyze situations, develop solutions aligned with our strategic goals and respond constructively to feedback
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and gain a "behind the scenes" look at how our trading functions work together cohesively
  • Effectively collaborate within diverse teams and build lasting relationships with cohort members and the LRN community

You'll be right at home if you have:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Basic proficiency in:
    • Python: Experience with pandas, handling CSV/JSON files, API interaction (requests), and writing scripts/classes. Knowledge of conda/virtualenv, GitHub, and matplotlib/seaborn is a plus.
    • SQL: Ability to write intermediate queries (JOINs, CTEs, PIVOT) for data transformation. Familiarity with integrating SQL in analytics/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel: Skilled in functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and macros/VBA.
  • An insatiable desire to learn, unwavering commitment to integrity, and proven ability to deliver both individually and as part of a team
  • A curious mindset, excellent organizational and analytical thinking, a passion for process improvement and a strong sense of urgency
  • A self-starter attitude, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality work product
  • Excellent communication skills and a capacity for rapid learning
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, along with a sharp attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently while fostering strong working relationships across various business groups
  • Work authorization in the United States without the need for sponsorship

  • Housing: DRW provides fully furnished apartments located close to the office - making your morning commute as easy as possible.
  • Mentorship: You'll build a professional relationship with an experienced mentor in your field. Mentors and mentees meet to discuss goals, challenges and professional development and explore the city together at our mentor outings.
  • Education: As part of your onboarding, you'll participate in a 5-day market fundamentals course that will equip you with essential knowledge about the trading industry and the critical roles of middle and back-office functions. In addition, throughout the summer, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a speaker series designed to further your understanding of DRW's scope and operations. These educational experiences aim to provide you with a comprehensive view of how our trading infrastructure and support systems work, preparing you for the unique opportunities and challenges that lie in the evolving landscape of finance and trading.
