Senior Supply Chain Consultant
Location: United States (willing to travel within US to Project Site)
Type: Implementation Engineer job postings offer Consultant (1099) and Employee (W2) agreements, therefore the salary range shown may vary per arrangement as well as candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
Job Description:
Implementation Engineers is seeking contract consultants and full-time employees to support projects re-engineering supply chain functions. Must be an expert in multiple disciplines, including ERP, procurement, production planning, BOM and/or configuration management, shop floor scheduling, forecasting, inventory management and optimization, inventory reduction, warehousing and logistics, shipping and receiving.
Experience with SAP ERP and/or Oracle Supply Chain/Demand Planning and Master Data Management experience is strongly preferred. Previous Lean, inventory reduction and optimization, and planning preferred.
Ideal candidates are seasoned supply chain professionals who have successfully identified, led, and managed high-impact improvement projects both operationally and organizationally. Experience with strong written and verbal communication skills with C-level executives is a requirement.
The successful candidate will lead our Implementation Engineering teams to:
  • Guide our clients through a structured process that deals with resources, decision-making, resistance identification and resolution, conflict management, skills enhancement, organizational development, metrics and performance results, coaching, mentoring and behavioral change.
  • Capture/Clarify/Align the strategic business objectives of our clients by creating a 3 to 5-year deployment plan that will quantify our clients' current state and create a road map to address gaps where objectives are not being achieved.
  • Re-engineer supply chain support processes as required to achieve business results.
  • Sustain improvements through system implementation, including visual management, layered standard work, audits and more
  • Develop an internal management culture to sustain improvement initiatives and work to interact and sell continued opportunities at all levels of the organization, especially with senior management and executives.

How We Deliver at Implementation Engineers
  • Act as a Change Agent by supporting clients in adopting and sustaining improvements through clear communication, coaching, and engagement, following Implementation Engineers' change management best practices.
  • Apply Project Management Best Practices to plan, execute, and monitor project activities using IE's standard delivery processes and tools.
  • Operate Within IE Governance and Standards, including:
    • Maintaining an up-to-date and actively managed project plan;
    • Following established change management processes;
    • Ensuring consistent, proactive communication with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain Program Transparency by keeping project documentation current, organized, and accessible within IE's Program Collaboration Workspace.
  • Leverage IE Governance Tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams for effective planning, tracking, collaboration, and reporting.

Additional Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certifications preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of supply chain operations, plus an additional 5 years in complex manufacturing, production or similar (e.g. fabrication + assembly)
  • APICS certification a plus
  • SAP ERP strongly preferred
  • Prior consulting experience required (internal or external consulting)
  • Experience with SQL, excellent data analysis and statistical skills preferred
  • Strong business acumen, financial analysis, and client relationship skills
  • Travel required (various clients site's).
