Company Description

The Quality Engineering Intern will support the Quality Management team by performing hands-on mechanical and performance testing of couplings used to join steel and castiron pipe. This role is ideal for a student interested in quality engineering, mechanical testing, and data-driven process improvement.

Job Description
  1. Conduct mechanical, dimensional, and performance testing of pipe couplings in a controlled laboratory environment.
  2. Collect, organize, and analyze test data to evaluate product performance and identify trends.
  3. Develop and maintain spreadsheets for data collection, statistical analysis, and calculation of CpK values.
  4. Prepare clear summaries of findings and provide recommendations for product or process improvements.
  5. Assist the Quality Management team with ongoing quality initiatives, documentation, and rootcause investigations.
  6. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized lab workspace.
Qualifications
  1. Currently pursing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with statistical tools is a plus.
  4. Ability to work independently while taking direction from senior quality staff.
  5. Interest in hands-on testing and mechanical systems.
