GCP Cloud Analytics Engineer

Data-driven organizations need modern cloud analytics solutions that turn information into insight and action. As a Data Engineer II, GCP Cloud Analytics, you will help clients design, build, and scale Google Cloud Platform-enabled data ecosystems that support enterprise decision-making, analytics, and business transformation. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex data environments, cloud platforms, and large-scale transformation efforts to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.

Work you'll do

As an Engineer on the GCP Cloud Analytics on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and contributing to end-to-end cloud analytics architectures using Google Cloud Platform services
  • Supporting full lifecycle implementations across data ingestion, transformation, governance, and analytics enablement
  • Developing and optimizing cloud-based data solutions using structured and unstructured data sources
  • Using automation and analytics techniques to help clients improve insight generation, decision-making, and operational efficiency
  • Leading portions of complex technology engagements and coordinating delivery across teams in multiple locations

Qualifications Required:

  • 3+ years of technology consulting or industry experience contributing to end-to-end architecture and solution design using Google Cloud Platform tools
  • 1+ full lifecycle implementation using a Google Cloud Platform toolset
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and Python
  • 1+ years of experience leading workstreams within technology engagements with resources in multiple locations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Snowflake and Databricks
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Spark, Java, Apache Kafka, and Striim
  • Experience with other cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
  • Google Cloud Platform certifications
  • Advanced degree in a technical or analytical field

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,300 to $155,00.
