What You Will Do:
The Associate II Fraud Analytics Consultant will support fraud analytics, data review, reporting, and investigative analysis activities as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position will use developed analytical skills to evaluate data, support assigned data preparation and quality review activities, assist with analytical work products, and contribute to recurring and ad hoc fraud analytics tasks under regular review.
  • Support data preparation, transformation, and quality review activities used in analytics and reporting processes.

  • Assist with testing and validation of data ingestion outputs, analytical datasets, and data source updates under guidance from senior team members.

  • Use independent judgment to evaluate options, apply developed analytical skills, and recommend solutions for analytical challenges of limited scope.

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, correlations, and potential indicators of suspicious or fraudulent activity.

  • Support refinement and documentation of fraud indicators, analytical datasets, detection logic, and recurring fraud analytics findings.

  • Contribute to data mining, pattern recognition, link analysis, behavioral analysis, and basic statistical analysis activities that support operational decision-making.

  • Support analysis of transactional, behavioral, and system activity data to identify trends and indicators requiring further review.

  • Document technical processes, analytical methods, data assumptions, findings, and work products to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

  • Coordinate with technical teams, analysts, engineers, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements, exchange information, and support delivery of assigned tasks.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, briefings, presentations, and technical documentation that communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work onsite at the client location in Lanham, Maryland five (5) days per week and collaborate closely with government personnel and contractor team members.

What You Will Need:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Information Science, or a related field.

  • Four (4) or more years of professional experience supporting data analytics, fraud analytics, business intelligence, data science, investigations, reporting, or a related analytical discipline.

  • Experience supporting data integration, data preparation, extract, transform, load activities, data quality initiatives, or analytical dataset development.

  • Experience analyzing datasets and identifying trends, anomalies, patterns, or correlations using analytical and statistical techniques.

  • Experience working with SQL and data analysis tools to query, manipulate, and analyze data.

  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, visualizations, or analytical products that support operational or business decision-making.

  • Experience communicating technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience applying independent judgment to evaluate options, follow standard principles and techniques, and recommend appropriate solutions for assigned work.

  • Ability and willingness to work onsite at the client location in Lanham, Maryland five (5) days per week.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience supporting fraud analytics, financial crime, digital identity, risk analytics, investigations, or business intelligence programs.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, SQL, reporting tools, or analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.

  • Experience with enterprise reporting platforms, log analysis tools, analytical environments, or large-scale data review activities.

  • Experience supporting data preparation, data quality review, reporting, dashboarding, or analytical work products.

  • Experience developing dashboards or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, collaborative development environments, and federal consulting environments.

  • Candidate currently possesses an active Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Moderate Background Investigation clearance or has held one within the last six (6) months.
