  • The Role:

    The Assistant Controller serves as a strategic partner to the Controller, ensuring the absolute integrity of the companyโ€™s financial data and the efficiency of daily operations. In this role, you will assist in leading the accounting departmentโ€™s daily rhythm, moving beyond basic data entry to manage the "big picture" of the General Ledger and streamline the month-end close process. The Assistant Controller support the Controller in managing daily accounting functions, including financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP compliance. The Assistant Controller will assist with transforming raw data into actionable insights through reconciliations, journal entries, and budget forecasting.

    What Youโ€™ll Do:Job Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Financial Reporting and Close: Assist with monthend and yearend close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Accounting Operations: Supports accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger functions
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Assist with, monitoring, and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and statutory requirements.
  • General Ledger and Reconciliations: Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Budgeting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Audit Support: Assist with external/internal audits to provide necessary documentation.
  • Assist other tasks or special projects as assigned.

  • What It Takes:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, in a manufacturing environment, with 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (complex modeling) and ERP/accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with various departments.
  • Ability to manage complex accounting issues.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial records.
