The Lab Supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing laboratory testing services across multiple Union Health locations.

You would ensure high-quality laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, quality assurance, and efficient delivery of laboratory services for Union Health providers and patients.

This role reports to the Laboratory Medical Director and Union Health Administration.

Essential Job Duties:

· Implement and manage laboratory testing services for Union Health providers and patients across multiple locations
· Train, supervise, evaluate, and schedule laboratory staff while ensuring sufficient staffing coverage
· Develop laboratory policies, procedures, work standards, and quality assurance processes
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and federal and state regulatory requirements
· Coordinate laboratory projects and supervise Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) operations
· Participate in budgeting, equipment planning, and approval of laboratory supplies and purchases
· Provide technical consultation and perform laboratory testing when needed
· Review and analyze laboratory test results to ensure quality control and appropriate follow-up actions
· Maintain knowledge of advancements in laboratory testing, instrumentation, and computer applications
 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related field
· Minimum five years of experience in a Medicare-approved laboratory with two years of supervisory experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Expertise in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, coagulation, blood bank, urinalysis, immunology, and immunochemistry
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to supervise both medical and clerical staff
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Flexible schedule to meet organizational needs
 

Licenses / Certifications:

· Must meet all applicable federal and state laboratory regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate laboratory certifications as required
