Why our Organizational Development Specialist is Important:

The OD Specialist is a new role for our HR Team, which serves as a strategic partner to our leadership and staff. We focus on โ€œProudly Taking Care of Our Peopleโ€, while developing worldโ€‘class talent and encouraging engagement. Our OD Specialist will enhance our orgโ€™s culture, performance, and development through training programs, engagement initiatives, and supporting our change and performance management.

  • Internal Learning Academy : Design, launch, and manage our internal learning academy. Build structured curricula for onboarding, compliance, and insurance industryโ€‘specific skills.
  • LMS Implementation : Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS). Ensure it integrates smoothly with existing enterprise tools.
  • Relationship Building : Build trusted relationships with staff to enhance understanding of our culture, business, values, and challenges. Lead 1:1s, focus groups, etc. as needed to gather feedback, assess needs, and support 2โ€‘way communication.
  • Culture & Engagement : Design and run annual employee engagement surveys. Analyze feedback to build action plans that keep our workforce motivated. Utilize your role to promote consistency and continuity amongst departments and the Family of Companies.
  • Training & Development : Create and deliver engaging enterpriseโ€‘wide training programs. Focus on professional development for insurance professionals, business professionals, support staff, and new hires. Measure and continuously improve training programs. Provide support for leadership programs as needed. Communicate results to leadership.
  • Change Management : Serve as an active participant in organizational change management, advocating for the โ€œpeople sideโ€ of internal changes, growth, technology upgrades, and BPO.
  • Performance Management : Manage our Performance Management platform, launching checkโ€‘ins and review cycles. Help employees set SMART goals that align to personal, departmental, and organizational strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 5+ years of experience in HR or organizational development, including handsโ€‘on experience building training programs. Fundamental level of HR knowledge is required.
  • Tech Expertise: Proven experience implementing, configuring, or managing HR or learning tech platforms. MS365 fluency.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or Prosci Change Management) are a strong plus.
  • Skills: Strong public speaking and presentation abilities. Data analysis skills to turn feedback into actionable strategies. Highly relational and emotionally intelligent.
  • Fit: Very collaborative, curious, and open to possibility.
