What You’ll Do
As a Finance Analytics Engineer, you will act as a trusted analytics partner supporting Finance, underwriting, and operational leaders with insights into profitability, exposure, loss performance, and operational efficiency. The Finance Analytics Engineer will support the Controller through financial analytics, management reporting, and performance monitoring while collaborating closely with Enterprise Data & Analytics teams.
 
The Finance Analytics Engineer will design, develop, and maintain analytics-ready data models and semantic layers within Microsoft Fabric that support key Surety business concepts, KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators. This Finance Analytics Engineer role will also translate business and financial requirements into scalable, well-governed analytics solutions aligned with accounting principles and enterprise data standards.
 
A successful Finance Analytics Engineer will help enable self-service analytics through Power BI and Microsoft Fabric while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, security, and auditability. The Finance Analytics Engineer will also establish documentation standards for metrics and assumptions and identify opportunities to modernize and improve analytics capabilities across the organization.

Experience & Qualifications
We are seeking a Finance Analytics Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, along with at least four years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering focused on business decision support. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
 
The ideal Finance Analytics Engineer will bring experience working within insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries. Familiarity with underwriting analytics, loss analytics, data governance practices, and federated data models is highly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related certifications is a plus for the Finance Analytics Engineer role.
