Job description

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead and advance the organization’s data and analytics ecosystem in Fort Worth, Texas. This role will serve as the central technical expert for analytics, shaping scalable reporting, data modeling, and platform strategy while working closely with leadership on high-impact business decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering depth with business insight and can independently drive modern analytics initiatives, including future-focused work in predictive modeling and machine learning.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day ownership, support, and continuous improvement of the company’s analytics environment across reporting, modeling, and data delivery.
• Design, develop, and refine interactive Power BI solutions that provide clear, reliable insights for operational and executive stakeholders.
• Create and maintain robust semantic, relational, and dimensional data models that support consistent reporting and analytical accuracy.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate business questions into actionable data products, metrics, and decision-support tools.
• Expand the use of Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse and Direct Lake capabilities, to strengthen scalability and performance across the analytics platform.
• Drive initiatives related to predictive analytics and machine learning by identifying opportunities, developing analytical approaches, and supporting implementation.
• Establish stronger standards for data governance, documentation, validation, testing, and monitoring to improve trust in analytics outputs.
• Support evaluation and onboarding efforts for additional analytics talent, including offshore Power BI resources, while providing technical guidance to future team members.
• Contribute to the definition of long-term analytics architecture, development practices, and platform standards that align with business growth.
• Manage data integration workflows involving systems such as Salesforce and Fivetran to ensure dependable and timely access to business data.• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Advanced expertise with Power BI, including Power Query, semantic models, and the Power BI Service.
• Strong command of SQL and hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling principles.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure-based data services, OneLake, and lakehouse architecture.
• Proficiency in Python and experience working with Spark or PySpark for data processing and advanced analytics use cases.
• Familiarity with ETL development and integrating data from platforms such as Salesforce and Fivetran.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality controls, version management, and CI/CD practices using tools such as Git.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and operate as an independent owner of an analytics function.
