Job Summary

The Analytics Engineer works in the IT data team to build clean data sets & solutions for the business using technologies available within Microsoft Fabric. In this role, the Analytics Engineer reports to the Business Intelligence Manager & actively collaborates with business stakeholders, BI analysts, & others to design, implement, & maintain data systems and solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, & optimize ETL data pipelines
  • Build, maintain, & optimize corporate semantic models
  • Address IT tickets & troubleshoot system performance
  • Perform administrative duties to maintain the current data environment
  • Assist, as needed, with the development of reports and other solutions
  • Work with stakeholders throughout solution lifecycle
  • Improve platform stability, data value & quality, and promote a data culture
  • Actively collaborate with teammates to share workloads, develop skills, & strengthen the team

Qualifications / Education 

  • Minimum of 2 years sustaining an enterprise data architecture, such as a common data model or data warehouse
  • Minimum of 2 years of owning full lifecycle of BI projects/solutions
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on enterprise data engineering/ETL experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on enterprise data modeling experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or comparable field, or equivalent experience in field
  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Certification preferred

Skills / Experience 

  • Work within an enterprise data environment- version control, change & integration management, etc.
  • Strong skills in data engineering with a willingness to support on the visualization layer
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting concepts
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, M, DAX
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, & ALM Toolkit a plus
