Job Title: Solution Architect - Data Migration & Analytics (Insurance)
Location: Raleigh, NC (Locals preferred as they need to go to office when required)
Job Description :
Role Summary
We are hiring a Solution Architect to lead a strategic data modernization program involving migration from 14+ source systems (including Guidewire InsuranceNow) into a Snowflake-based Data Warehouse leveraging dbt. The role also includes driving a report rationalization initiative, consolidating legacy reports into a streamlined Power BI analytics layer.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong expertise in data architecture, large-scale migration, and insurance domain transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
  • Define end-to-end data architecture for ingesting structured and unstructured data into Snowflake.
  • Architect layered DWH (Raw/Bronze, Curated/Silver, Consumption/Gold) using dbt-based ELT frameworks.
  • Establish scalable, secure, and performance-optimized data models.

Data Migration Leadership
  • Design migration strategy for 14+ systems including InsuranceNow.
  • Define data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation frameworks.
  • Implement data quality controls, auditability, and parallel validation mechanisms.

Analytics & Reporting Modernization
  • Lead report rationalization and consolidation initiative.
  • Design Power BI semantic layer and standardize KPIs.
  • Eliminate redundant reports and enable unified, business-friendly dashboards.

Governance & Quality
  • Establish data governance, lineage, and metadata standards.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Define quality KPIs and monitoring frameworks.

Stakeholder Leadership
  • Act as technical SME and advisor for business, data, and leadership teams.
  • Drive architecture governance, design reviews, and delivery alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in a complex multi-source migration program.

Required Experience
  • 10+ years in data engineering / data architecture, with enterprise-scale programs
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Snowflake & dbt
    • Multi-source data migration (10+ systems)
    • Data modeling (dimensional / data vault)
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI and report consolidation
  • Strong understanding of structured + unstructured data integration
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
  • Knowledge of Cortex AI is a plus

Domain Expertise
  • Insurance domain experience (P&C preferred)
  • Understanding of policy, claims, billing, and customer data models
