The engineer will design and execute battery test campaigns, develop standardized validation methods, generate trusted experimental datasets, and support verification of battery algorithms and models.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable designing experiments, operating and integrating advanced battery test equipment, automating laboratory workflows, analyzing electrochemical data, and communicating validation results to cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Battery Testing & Experimental Validation

  • Develop and execute battery test plans using Arbin scheduler.

  • Design and assemble custom battery test setups.

  • Automate test execution and data logging using Arbin MITS Pro, Python, and related tools.

  • Integrate and validate laboratory equipment with software systems.

  • Develop repeatable workflows for setup, equipment checks, experiment execution, data capture, and test completion review.

Battery Data Analysis & Validation

  • Analyze experimental datasets using Python, MATLAB or similar tools.

  • Document dataset readiness, experimental limitations, and appropriate use of test results.

  • Investigate, document and implement improved data collection methodologies to enable algorithm-ready data delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the broader battery testing team, helping to debug and resolve testing and data issues.

  • Collaborate with battery scientists to generate executable experiments.

  • Work with algorithm developers to define validation needs, provide trusted experimental evidence, and interpret performance results.

  • Support customer demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.

  • Communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
