Position Description
The Ironworker erects structural and miscellaneous steel. Performs welding and limited millwright functions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  1. Unloads, shakes out, and organizes steel materials
  2. Erects steel columns, beams and bar joist
  3. Installs materials efficiently while meeting acceptable job specific tolerances
  4. Welds and/or bolts connections per details
  5. Installs roof and floor edge angle and bent plate
  6. Installs miscellaneous structural steel including kicker brace, support channel, hangers, posts, etc.
  7. Lays out and installs roof/floor frames
  8. Welds moment connections
  9. Bolts aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent bolting or welding into place
  10. Installs bridging in bar joist
  11. Installs metal roof/floor deck
  12. Sets and grouts precast concrete hollow core plank
  13. Erects steel stairs stringer, metal pans, guardrail, and handrail
  14. Erects amusement ride catwalks and handrails
  15. Installs ladders, railings, grating, and other miscellaneous steel
  16. Installs cable rail fall protection
  17. Provides proper signaling to equipment operators
  18. Cuts and welds steel using torches and welding equipment
  19. Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
  20. Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
  1. Rigging experience required
  2. Mechanical ability to perform millwright type functions required
  3. Ability to work at heights without fear
  4. Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role
  5. 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
  6. Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  7. Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid, and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
  8. Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays away from home
  9. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  10. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
