Job description

Harmony Hospice Care is looking to hire a Part-Time "Music Therapist" for the Youngstown and surrounding area. The music therapist provides music consultation and services to the patient in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care. He or she reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

The ideal candidates qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree in Music therapy from an accredited music therapy program(AMTA).
  • Current MT-BC certification from certification board of music therapists
  • Have obtained or willing to obtain the Licensed Music Therapist License license(LPMT)
  • Has at least one year experience in a health care setting
  • Previous work with terminally ill patients/families preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and insurance
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
