Job description

Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician (Ammonia)

A growing mechanical services contractor is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician to support customers across the food & beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and process industries.

If you have experience with industrial refrigeration, ammonia systems, or commercial refrigeration and are looking to join a company that invests in its employees, we'd love to speak with you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency service on industrial refrigeration systems
  • Service ammonia refrigeration systems (training available for the right candidate)
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration, ventilation, heating, and control systems
  • Complete service documentation, work orders, and customer reports accurately and on time
  • Coordinate daily schedules while maintaining excellent customer communication
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Work independently while delivering high-quality service to industrial customers
Qualifications
  • Experience servicing industrial or commercial refrigeration systems
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, ventilation, heating systems, and controls
  • Freon refrigeration experience is a plus
  • Completion of a refrigeration or HVAC apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • OSHA 30, fall protection, arc flash, or other industrial safety training is a plus
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
