Job description

We’re in growth mode—and we’re looking for an Experienced Ammonia Technician who can hit the ground running.

The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician works under the direction of the Process Safety Manager to support the safe operation of the Ammonia Refrigeration System by performing preventive maintenance and assisting with troubleshooting. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow P&IDs, operator manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete apprenticeship training in the Ammonia Refrigeration field.
  • Comply with applicable good manufacturing practices, safety and quality assurance practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to locate the source of problems and perform preventative maintenance
  • Eager to learn and follow the direction of the Lead Ammonia Technician
  • Follow operator manuals, reading electrical diagrams, piping P&ID’s, inspecting, repairing and maintaining refrigeration valves, pumps, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc., to perform refrigeration tasks.
  • Operate power industrial vehicles which may include forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.

Compensation will be based on education and experience.
