Job description

Position Summary:

 

The Senior Analyst is responsible for the anti-money laundering ("AML") data analytics and stewardship, system administration, and conducting due diligence investigations.  This position analyzes and assesses risks, assists with investigations, and provides data and systems support, compliance product ownership and system administration functions, and is the primary liaison between compliance and IT.

Essential Functions:

  1. Actively practices, supports, and promotes a culture of compliance and Station Casinos' We Win Hearts service standards.
  1. Serves as the AML data and technology subject-matter expert and systems administrator of AML and departmental systems.

  1. Administers AML and related systems, including monitoring, reporting, auditing, case and identity management, and data analytics platforms and hardware; configures systems, troubleshoots issues, supports system implementations/upgrades, and coordinates with Information Technology and vendors.
  1. Analyzes large datasets from multiple systems. Performs data analytics (query, join, cleanse, validate, and interpret data) and develops reports, visualizations, and metrics that provide actionable insights, support informed decisions, and enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

  2. Ensures AML data integrity through reconciliations, validations, and exception reviews, confirming accurate and timely data flow between casino systems, AML platforms, and reporting tools.
  1. Serves as a front-line resource and escalation point for AML-related hardware, systems, and data issues.

  1. Conducts extensive due diligence investigations and wide-ranging research using subscription services, internal systems, and internet search engines.  Prepares accurate and complete investigative reports, including summaries and practical recommendations, in a timely manner.

  1. Prepares, reviews, and files suspicious activity narratives and reports. Ensures supporting documentation contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter. 

  1. Sends and fulfills information requests, including those related to law enforcement and 314(b) information sharing.

  1. Advises departmental management in a timely manner of relevant findings, especially those affecting compliance or involving high-risk guests, transactions or situations.

  2. Trains and transfers knowledge to team members.  Create manuals, guides, programs and other procedural or instructional material.

  1. Ensure documentation is properly organized and maintained.  Maintains work areas in an organized and neat manner.

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  1. Associate's degree, preferably in accounting, criminal justice or information technology, from an accredited college/university or two (2) years of experience with a job function involving AML data and SQL report writing. 

  2. Active certification in AML, accounting, criminal justice, or information technology is preferred.

  3. Casino AML experience preferred.

  1. Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams). A demonstrated ability to query, organize, analyze, and visualize data and a working knowledge of data organization, analytics, and report building.

  1. Experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB), Cognos, LexisNexis, advanced internet searching and Everi products preferred.

  1. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, auditors/examiners, regulators, and vendors.
  1. Demonstrated ability to organize, summarize and succinctly communicate findings and practical recommendations to management.
  1. Demonstrated analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking abilities, with strong judgment and decision-making skills; self-motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks effectively in a timely manner.
  1. Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming registration in any jurisdiction the Company operates.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

  2. Ability to work in a casino environment and confined spaces (small offices or cubicles) that may be noisy, contain secondhand smoke, and/or be hot or cold.
  1. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. 
  1. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds.
  1. Ability to work at any Station Casinos property, including having reliable personal transportation to travel between properties within the greater Las Vegas area.
