TSMC Arizona is looking for an Intelligent AMHS Engineer to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As an AMHS Engineer, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values - Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.  

TSMC Arizona's Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) department is responsible for leading new technology transfers, new production line set up, maintenance, quality, and productivity improvement to ensure a smooth production operation.

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible for supervising vendor to install and sustain AMHS system for TSMC's ramp up factories
  2. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, performance metrics gathering and analysis of related AMHS systems
  3. Cooperate and direct Field Service Engineers (FSEs) on the manufacturing floor to resolve system issues, providing direction to FSEs, leading root cause analysis and task Forces to drive resolution to equipment issues, and providing on-call coverage as needed
  4. Lead equipment continuous improvement projects with stakeholders, i.e., TSMC's supplier management and AMHS suppliers, and managing implementation and documentation
  5. Coordinating and communicate with the factory on equipment downtime and recovery expectations
  6. Review equipment technical specification and documents and provide feedback to suppliers to make improvements in error recovery procedures as well as collaborating with manufacturing sites on equipment sustaining/error recovery and sharing of learning
  7. Responding quickly to change priorities and handle multiple projects with potentially overlapping deadlines
  8. Managing and coordinating daily activities for AMHS Technicians to support smooth production line

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Bachelors of science in engineering degree is required
    • Software focus: Computer Science, Information Management, Transportation Management
    • Hardware focus: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to work on cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Able to adapt priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
  • A team player that can multitask and thrive in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Additional skills such as mechanical aptitude, project management, system design, and multi-tasking
  • Additional duties pending business needs
