What is an AMFT private practice?

An AMFT private practice refers to a clinical setting where an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) provides mental health counseling services under the supervision of a licensed therapist. AMFTs are pre-licensed professionals who have completed their graduate education and are gaining the required hours of experience to become fully licensed. In private practice, AMFTs work with individuals, couples, and families to address emotional, behavioral, and relational issues. They must operate under the supervision of a qualified supervisor until they obtain full licensure.
